Accountability Post:
Jan. 30th, 2019 07:18 amColdest day in *years*, here, and the first time we've had a cold spell like this since I stopped working with the homeless population. I can't help but think that despite the "official numbers' (which I know all too well are collected haphazardly at best) the homeless population in the Midwest has grown. If you see a homeless person in this weather, and they are not looking like they are headed for shelter on their own, ask if you can help. Perhaps take them to a library or a warming center if your area has one, or give them bus money to get there themselves.
This weather is *deadly*. Make sure people are okay.
I will be working from home until mid-afternoon because my morning appointments canceled, but I will be going to work and seeing all the clients that didn't cancel. While at home goal one is to finish all the notes, and then start on bankruptcy data entry to the "how many people do you owe money to" app.
Gratitudes: If I don't step outside, I will never know, for sure, how bitterly cold it is right now. My husband is feeding me coffee. I feel relatively good today and my knees are less painful than they were last week for some reason.
