not next year, but one of the changes to the voting rules passed this morning that will prevent *any* slate from taking over the Hugos... it will almost certainly go into effect in 2017. Also, an analysis of the numbers indicates that the Sad Puppies don't have enough nominating votes to slate this year if everyone else is good about voting in every category and getting out the word about good stuff.

I tried *hard* to read the Puppy stuff this year. Most of it was unbearable. And I know that there are a bunch at Baen, but frankly it's the Castilia stuff, by and large, that was gawdawful. And the self published crap.
